In March of 2011, Michael James Brooks announced that he would be writing, recording, and releasing one song every day for 30 days starting on April 1. No restrictions were put on style, instrument, song length, or improvisation. This album is the result. Most of the songs are "rough drafts", and songs that listeners deem favorites may see more fully-realized versions later.

The only rule Brooks put on himself was that each instrument track (whether solo or part of a multi-track recording) had to be recorded fully, front-to-back, in a single take.

Though only selections from the month are shown on this page, the album download contains the full 30 songs (plus a bonus track).
