Michael James Brooks' U.S. Premiere Score of Disciples, a play by award-winning Hungarian playwright Andras Visky.

Disciples is a play about the starkness of a world seemingly without good. It follows the 12 Apostles of Christ as they question God and their existence just moments after the crucifixion of their leader. By turns dark, comical, and absurd, it explores the human condition, as well as themes of memory, violence and fear. It is largely based on the real experiences of the playwright, who spent much of his childhood in a Romanian Communist prison camp.

The first production of Disciples took place at the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj in 2005. The English-Language Premiere opened in early 2006 at the Laboratory Theatre. It was directed and workshopped by Stephanie Sandberg. Full Score and Sound Design by Michael James Brooks.
